My Story

My husband and I were doing all that we could to cut back on our expenses. We had 3 children and didn't buy anything extra. We did all of our shopping at Wal-Mart or Costco to "save". Prices were going up as the economy was changing and it seemed that just for necessities we were spending more and more, yet getting less and less. With all of our efforts to be "wise shoppers" and "save" we still weren't making it each month.

I attended a grocerysmarts class with my sister. I was VERY skeptical--sounded too good to be true, but I decided to give it a try and figure it out. It took me a few shopping trips to get the hang of it and to get to know the other stores (I didn't know my way around Smith's and Walgreens--I just knew Walmart).

Here I am years later as a grocerysmarts teacher--my debts paid off and we are making ends meet each month! We have literally cut our grocery & household items budget more than in half! We spend WAY less than we used to and we have WAY more food and are continually building good food storage--something we couldn't afford very much of before.

What a blessing grocerysmarts has been to our family! That's why I teach and love to share the deals--I hope it will bless others as well!

This is my first grocerysmarts shopping trip:
Total Spent: $24
Bought: 36 items
After attending a class I was very skeptical, but I decided to give it a try. It was just before Christmas/New Years of 2008--I thought, "FREE food? no way!" (several of the above items were free or under $.50)!!
I was very nervous that I wouldn’t do it right—but I decided to go for it anyway.

When I got home I couldn’t believe it! My husband and I were so excited that we took a picture!

Before this shopping at Walmart and just getting the off-brand was the way I thought I could save money shopping--boy did I have SO much to learn and what a blessing it has been in our lives!
